Please send us a personal message. We will ask you to agree to pet rules before booking and an extra cleaning fee will apply. ℹ️ Other things to note This is a historic Tahoe cabin, and with that comes charm, character, and cozy mountain vibes. While beautifully renovated, it still retains the warmth and personality of an older home. Le Petite Château is... petite! At just 456 square feet, the cabin is cozy, romantic, and thoughtfully designed for a luxurious stay. It is best suited for couples but can accommodate up to four guests with a queen pull-out sofa in the living room. If you plan to use the sofa bed, please note that it is not made up prior to arrival. Fresh linens are provided, and the bedding can be set up in just a few minutes. When the sofa bed is open, it occupies most of the living room, so we recommend folding it away during the day to enjoy the space more comfortably. During winter months, snow tires or AWD/4WD are strongly recommended. We created this cabin with love, and we are excited to share the magic of Le Petite Chateau with guests who will love it back. - Rose & Sarel
Other Details to Note
ACCESS: There are 10 large steps down to get down to the cabin. WINTER CONSIDERATIONS: Four-wheel drive or all wheel drive vehicles are strongly recommended if traveling in the winter (November-April). Tahoe can receive significant snowfall with storm totals reaching 10-12 feet. Road crews are diligent about plowing main access roads however, roads can be slippery, icy, or impassable during or after storms. In winter the stairs are shoveled when it snows more than 6 inches. Please note the stairs may be slippery and icy. We provide sand and ice melt that will be applied by our cleaning team before your arrival. You’re welcome to reapply as needed during your stay. The supplies are located on the deck by the front door. There are also snow shovels (one hanging next to the back door) and more shovels under the deck. If you’re lucky enough to have a snow during your trip you’ll see the neighbors busy shoveling in the morning. Fresh snow is easiest to shovel, once it’s been walked on it forms a think layer of ice which becomes slippery and hard to remove. If you feel inclined for a little snow shoveling it’s a great workout and will keep your outdoor walking areas less slippery. The driveway is plowed when it snows more than 6 inches. If your car is parked in the driveway they will plow around your car. If you’d like the area where your car was parked to be plowed the next time it snows, please park on the opposite side. By booking Le Petite Chateau you’re choosing to live in our little Tahoe neighborhood like local. Please note we do everything in our power to make your trip safe and comfortable. We do not provide refunds for trips canceled due to inclement weather, power outages, or smoke from fires. We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance if these mountain considerations are concerned.
